HomeMy WebLinkAbout83-6-2394624 ORDINANCE NO. 83-6-2394 AN ORDINANCE AMENDING SECTIONS 10-52, 10-53, 10-60, AND 10-63 "CIVIL SER- VICE" OF THE CODE OF ORDINANCES OF THE CITY OF PADUCAH, KENTUCKY BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY OF PADUCAH, KENTUCKY: SECTION 1. That Section 10-52 of the Code of Ordinances of the City of Paducah, Kentucky, be amended and reordained so that said section as amended and reordained shall hereafter read as follows: "Sec. 10-52. Street Department - Generally. (a) There is hereby authorized and created the following positions in the Street Department, and the salaries of each position that shall be paid upon satis- factory completion of consecutive years of service, in this position, and upon recom- mendation of the City Manager: SECTION 2. That Section 10-53 of the Code of Ordinances of the City of Paducah, Kentucky, be amended and reordained so that said section as amended and reordained shall hereafter read as follows: "Sec. 10-53. Refuse Department. That Section 10-60, Vehicle Maintenance Department, of the Code of Ordinances of the City of Paducah, be amended and reordained so that said section as amended and reordained shall hereafter read as follows: "Sec. 10-60. Vehicle Maintenance Department. Fire Department Switchboard Operator & Clerk -typist. The switchboard operator shall be under the supervision of the Chief of the Fire Department. The switchboard operator shall not thereby become a member of the Fire Department". SECTION 5. In order to reduce the work force effective July 1, 1983, an emergency is hereby declared to exist and this ordinance shall be effective upon passage at one reading; second reading of this ordinance is hereby waived and this ordinance shall be effective on July 1, 1983.
