HomeMy WebLinkAbout83-6-2392622 ORDINANCE NO. 83-6-2392 AN ORDINANCE APPROVING THE FINAL REPORT OF THE PADUCAH PLANNING COMMISSION RESPECTING THE REZONING OF PROPERTY LOCATED IN AN AREA BOUNDED BY NORTH 4TH STREET, NORTH 5TH STREET, PARK AVENUE AND EXECUTIVE BLVD., AND AMENDING THE'PADUCAH ZONING ORDINANCE -1976 SO AS TO EFFECT SUCH REZONING BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY OF PADUCAH, KENTUCKY: SECTION 1. That a resolution adopted by the Paducah Planning Commission on June 6, 1983, entitled, "A RESOLUTION CONSTITUTING THE FINAL REPORT OF THE PADUCAH PLANNING COMMISSION ON THE PROPOSED REZONING OF PROPERTY LOCATED IN AN AREA BOUNDED BY NORTH 4TH STREET, NORTH 5TH STREET, PARK AVENUE AND EXECUTIVE BLVD.", be approved as the final report of said Commission respecting the matters therein set forth. SECTION 2. That the zone classification change and the map amendment proposed in said resolution be, and the same are hereby, declared to be in agreement with the comprehensive plan of the City of Paducah. SECTION 3. That the zone classification of the following pro- perty be, and it is hereby, changed from R-4, High Density Residential Zone to B-3, General Business Zone: Beginning at the point of intersection of the centerline of North 5th Street and the centerline of Park Avenue; thence in an easterly direction along the centerline of Park Avenue to the centerline of North 4th Street; thence in a southerly direction along the centerline of North 4th Street to the centerline of Executive Blvd.; thence in a westerly direction along the centerline of Executive Blvd. to the centerline of the Riverfront Access west bound lane; thence in a westerly direction along the Riverfront Access west bound lane to the centerline of North 5th Street; thence in a westerly direction along the center- line of North 5th Street to the point of beginning. SECTION 4. That if any section, paragraph or provision of this ordinance shall be found to be inoperative, ineffective or invalid for any cause, the deficiency or invalidity of such section, paragraph or provision shall not affect any other section, paragraph or provision hereof, it being the purpose and intent of this ordinance to make each and every section, paragraph and provision hereof separable from all other sections, para- graphs, and provisions. SECTION 5. This ordinance shall be read on two separate days and will be effective upon publication of title and a certified summary there- of. JOHN K.
