HomeMy WebLinkAbout82-10-2315443 ORDINANCE NO. 82-10-2315 AN ORDINANCE APPROVING THE FINAL REPORT OF THE PADUCAH PLANNING COMMISSION RESPECTING THE REZONING OF PROPERTY LOCATED IN AN AREA BOUNDED BY CAMPBELL STREET, BURNETT STREET, THE FLOODWALL AND THE OHIO RIVER, AND AMENDING THE PADUCAH ZONING ORDINANCE -1976 SO AS TO EFFECT SUCH REZONING BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY OF PADUCAH, KENTUCKY: SECTION 1. That a resolution adopted by the Paducah Planning Commission on October 4, 1982, entitled, "A RESOLUTION CONSTITUTING THE FINAL REPORT OF THE PADUCAH PLANNING COMMISSION ON THE PROPOSED REZONING OF PROPERTY LOCATED IN AN AREA BOUNDED BY CAMPBELL STREET, BURNETT STREET, THE FLOODWALL AND THE OHIO RIVER", be approved as the final report of said Commission respecting the matters therein set forth. SECTION 2. That the zone classification change and the map amendment proposed in said resolution be, and the same are hereby, declared to be in agreement with the comprehensive plan of the City of Paducah. SECTION 3. That the zone classification of the following property be, and it is hereby, changed from C-1, Conservancy Zone to M-1, Light Industrial Zone: Beginning at the point of intersection of the centerline of Campbell Street Extended with the centerline.of the'floodwall thence,in a northwesterly direction along the centerline of the floodwall a distance of 1,515 feet, more or less, to the sou:th'corner of the Paducah Water Works property; thence to a northeasterly direction parallel to Burnett Street with the Paducah Water Works boundary_a distance of 355.6 feet; thence in a northwesterly direction with the Paducah Water Works boundary, a distance of 150.36 -feet; thence continuing with the Paducah Water Works boundary in a northeasterly direction parallel to Burnett Street, a distance of 1,000 feet, more or less, to the Ohio River; thence in a southeasterly direction with the low water line of the Ohio River to the Texaco, Inc., north property corner; thence along the Texaco northwest property line in a southwesterly direction a distance of 525 feet, more or less, to a Texaco corner; thence in a southeasterly direction with a Texaco boundary, a distance of 250 feet, more or less, to a point in the center of -Campbell Street Extended; thence in a southwesterly di- rection along the centerline of Campbell Street Extended to the point of beginning. SECTION 4. That if any section, paragraph orprovision of this ordinance shall be found to be inoperative, ineffective or invalid for any cause," the de- ficiency or invalidity of such section, paragraph or provision shall not affect any other section, paragraph or provision hereof, it being the purpose and intent of this ordinance to make each and every section, paragraph and provision hereof separable from all other sections, paragraphs, and provisions. SECTION 5. This ordinance shall be read on two separate days and will be effective upon publication of title and a certified summary thereof. JOHN K.
