ORDINANCE NO. 82-9-2290
AN ORDINANCE PROVIDING FOR THE CLOSING OF A PORTION OF AN ALLEY
LOCATED WEST OF NORTH 26TH STREET
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY OF PADUCAH, KENTUCKY:
SECTION 1. That the City of Paducah does hereby authorize the
closing of a portion of an alley located west of North 26th Street (closed) a
distance of 100 feet and being 25 feet in width, and more particularly
described as follows:
Beginning at a point in the north right-of-way line of a 25
foot alley, said point being 300 -feet -east of the intersection
of the east right-of-way line of 27th Street and the north
right; -of -way line.of-said alley;,thence'in an easterly di"
rection along the north right-of-way line of said alley a
distance of 100-feet;'thence in a southerly direction along
the east right-of-way line of said alley a distance of 25
feet; thence in a westerly direction along the south right-of-
way line of said alley a distance of 100 feet; thence in a
northerly direction a distance of 25 feet to the point of
beginning.
SECTION 2. That the Corporation Counsel of the City of Paducah,
Kentucky, be, and he is hereby, authorized, empowered and directed to in-
stitute and prosecute, pursuant to KRS 82.405, an action in the McCracken
Circuit Court for a judgment ordering the closing of the alley described in
Section 1 above.
SECTION 3. This ordinance shall be read on two separate days and
will be effective upon publication of title and a certified summary thereof.
