HomeMy WebLinkAbout82-8-2284ORDINANCE NO. 82-8-2284 AN ORDINANCE AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR TO ENTER INTO A CONTRACT WITH COMMONWEALTH LIFE INSURANCE, EXTENDING THE CITY'S CONTRACT FOR GROUP COVERAGE OF LIFE INSURANCE FOR EMPLOYEES OF THE CITY OF PADUCAH WHEREAS, on June 20, 1979 the City entered into a contract with Commonwealth Life Insurance for life insurance coverage for employees, and WHEREAS, said contract with Commonwealth Life Insurance Company has now expired. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY'THE CITY OF PADUCAH, KENTUCKY: SECTION 1. That the Mayor be authorized to enter into a contract with Commonwealth Life Insurance, extending the present contract for life insurance coverage for City of Paducah employees through October, 1982. SECTION 2. Payment for said life insurance shall be charged to General Fund Account No. 10-500-140-140. SECTION 3. Due to the present contract having expired, an emer- gency is hereby declared to exist and this ordinance shall be in full force and effect upon its passage with one reading. John K.
