ORDINANCE NO. 82-7-2282
AN ORDINANCE ACCEPTING THE OFFER OF HARPER INDUSTRIES, INC., P. 0. BOX
1011, PADUCAH, KENTUCKY 42001, TO PURCHASE PROPERTY LOCATED BETWEEN CAMPBELL STREET
AND BURNETT STREET, AND BETWEEN SIXTH STREET AND THE OHIO RIVER, IN THE CITY OF
PADUCAH, KENTUCKY -
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY OF PADUCAH, KENTUCKY:
SECTION 1. That the offer of Harper Industries, Inc., to purchase the
property located between Campbell Street and Burnett Street and between Sixth Street
and the Ohio River, in the City of Paducah, Kentucky, for the sum of $30,000.00 be
accepted, said land being roughly described as follows, and as shown on the sketch
attached hereto:
Lying between Campbell Street on the south; the Illinois Central
Gulf Railroad right-of-way on the east, .to the Ohio River;,
upstream along the Ohio River to the property presently being
acquired by Paducah Water Works; thence hounded on the_ north by
said Water Works property to the floodwall; and bounded by the
floodwall on the west.
Also, a smaller parcel of land inside the floodwall at Campbell
and Sixth Streets.
SECTION 2. Upon the payment of the sum of $30,000.00 to the City
Treasurer, the Mayor and City Clerk are hereby authorized and directed to convey to
Harper Industries, Inc., all of the right, title and interest of the City in the
property described in'Seciion 1 hereof.
SECTION 3. This ordinance shall be read on two separate days and will be
effective upon publication of title and a certified summary thereof.
