ORDINANCE NO. 83-3-2362
AN ORDINANCE EXTENDING THE BOUNDARY OF THE CITY OF PADUCAH,
BY ANNEXING CERTAIN PROPERTY LYING ADJACENT:TO THE CORPORATE LIMITS OF
THE CITY, AND DEFINING ACCURATELY THE BOUNDARY -OF SAID PROPERTY TO BE'
INCLUDED WITHIN THE SAID -CORPORATE LIMITS
WHEREAS, on September 28, 1982, the City of Paducah, Ken-
tucky, passed an ordinance proposing annexation of the property here-
inafter described, and
.WHEREAS, -said ordinance was published on October 5, 1982,
according to law; and
WHEREAS, the proposed annexation is pursuant to KRS 81A.420
and no - petition -to have` an-- election on -the --annexation has been filed
with the City within sixty (60) days of said October 5, 1982, and
WHEREAS, the property is contiguous to the present corporate
limits of the City, and it is desirable and_:necessary-to annex the
hereinafter described property..
WHEREAS, the Board of Commissioners finds the following:
(a) That the highway being annexed is in need of traffic
control which can only be supplied by the City of Paducah;
(b) That the Paducah Country Club will -provide $20,000 a
year revenue -to the"City of Paducah;
(c) That the annexation of the highway and the Paducah
Country Club will be of little or no -additional cost to the City of
Paducah;
(d) The Paducah Country Club has requested that the City of
Paducah annex the area owned by Paducah Country Club, Inc.

NOW, THEREF-ORE,- BE_. IT -ORDAINED BY. THE CITY OF PADUCAH,
SECTION 1. That the hereinafter described property be
annexed to, and be made apart of the City of Paducah, Kentucky; the
said real property being more particularly and accurately -described as
follows:
Beginning at a point in the south right-of-way line of
Blandville Road (US 62), said point being the inter-
section of the south right-of-way line of Blandville
Road (US 62) and the west corporate city limit line;

Church Road projected across Blandville Road (US 62);

survey made by Florence and Hutcheson, Inc., and dated
October, 1978.

SECTION 2.. This ordinance of annexation shall be read on
two separate days -and upon publication the territory described above
shall become a part of the City of Paducah, Kentucky for all purposes.
