HomeMy WebLinkAbout83-2-2351516 ORDINANCE NO. 83-2-2351 AN ORDINANCE PROVIDING FOR THE CLOSING OF A PORTION OF AN ALLEY LOCATED BETWEEN H. C. MATHIS DRIVE AND ATKINS AVENUE, NORTH OF NORTH 14TH STREET BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY OF PADUCAH, KENTUCKY: SECTION 1. That the. City of_Paducah does hereby authorize the closing of a portion of an alley located between H. C. Mathis Drive and Atkins Avenue, 'north of North 14th Street, and more particularly described as follows: Beginning at a point in the north right-of-way line of 14th Street, said point being 165.50 feet east of the intersection of the east right-of-way line of H. C. Mathis Drive and the north right-of-way line of 14th Street;,thence in an easterly direction along said north right-of-way line of 14th Street a distance of 15 feet; thence in a northerly direction along the east right-of-way line of a 15 foot public alley a distance of 250 feet; thence in a westerly direction, perpendicular to the last described line, a distance of 15 feet to a point in the west right-of-way line of said public alley; thence in a southerly direction along the west right-of-way line of said public alley a distance of 250 feet to the point of beginning SECTION 2. That the Corporation Counsel of the City of Paducah, Kentucky, be, and he is hereby, authorized, empowered and directed to institute and prosecute, pursuant to KRS 82.405, an action in the McCracken Circuit Court for a judgment ordering the closing of the alley described in Section 1 above. SECTION 3. This ordinance shall be read on two separate days and will be effective upon publication of title and a certified summary thereof.
