ORDINANCE NO.83-1-2343
AN ORDINANCE ACCEPTING THE BID OF BROOKS CONTAINER SERVICE, INC., AND
AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR TO EXECUTE A CONTRACT FOR SUCH PURCHASE
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY OF PADUCAH, KENTUCKY:
SECTION 1. That the City of Paducah accept the bid of Brooks Container
Service, Inc., for the purchase of (approximately twenty) front loading refuse
containers at the following prices: for 2 -yd, containers, $243.00 each; for 4 -yd.
containers, $378.00 each; for 6 -yd. containers $460.00 each; and for 8 -yd.
containers $495.00 each; said bid being in substantial compliance with the bid
specifications and advertisement for bids as was authorized by Municipal Order
passed by the Board of Commissioners on November 23, 1982, and as contained in
the bid of Brooks Container Service, Inc., dated December 10, 1982.
SECTION 2. That the Mayor be authorized to execute a contract with
Brooks Container Service, Inc., authorized in Section 1 above, according to the
specifications, bid proposal and all contract documents heretofore approved and
incorporated in the bid.
SECTION 3. The expenditure for said containers shall be charged to
Account No. 20-500-420-514.
SECTION 4. This ordinance shall be read on two separate days and will
be effective upon publication of title and a certified summary thereof.
