HomeMy WebLinkAbout82-7-2269386 ORDINANCE NO. 82-7-2269 AN ORDINANCE PROVIDING FOR THE CLOSING OF AN ALLEY BETWEEN H. C. MATHIS DRIVE AND ATKINS AVENUE, SOUTH OF NORTH 13TH STREET BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY OF PADUCAH, KENTUCKY: SECTION 1. That the City of Paducah does hereby authorize the closing of an alley lying between H. C. Mathis Drive and Atkins Avenue, south of North 13th Street, and more particularly described as follows: Beginning at a point in the south right-of-way line of..13th Street said point being 165.50 feet east of the intersection of the east right-of-way line of H. C. Mathis Drive and the south right-of-way line of 13th Street; thence in an easterly.direction along said south right-of-way line of 13th Street a distance of'15 feet; thence in a southerly direction along the east right-of-way line of a 15 foot public alley a distance of 300 feet; thence in a westerly direction to a point in the west right-of-way line of said public alley a distance of 15 feet; thence in a northerly direction along the west right-of-way line of said public alley a distance of 300 feet to the point of beginning. SECTION -2. That the Corporation Counsel of the City of Paducah, Kentucky, be, and he is hereby, authorized, empowered and directed to institute and prosecute, pursuant to KRS 82.405; an action in the McCracken Circuit Court for a judgment ordering the closing of the alley described in-Section'l above. SECTION 3. This ordinance shall be read on two separate days and will be effective upon publication of title and a certified summary thereof. John K..
