HomeMy WebLinkAbout82-6-2251341 ORDINANCE NO. 82-6-2251 AN ORDINANCE ACCEPTING THE BID OF JIMAR PAVING COMPANY, INC. FOR RESURFACING VARIOUS STREETS IN THE CITY OF PADUCAH AND AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR TO EXECUTE A CONTRACT FOR SUCH SERVICES BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY OF PADUCAH, KENTUCKY: SECTION 1. That the City of Paducah accept the bid of Jimar Paving Company for resurfacing various streets in the City of Paducah, Kentucky, for the following prices: Bituminous surface, 8,000 tons @ $24.60 Bituminous primer, 1,000 gals. @ 0.50 Bituminous tack, 6,000 gals. @ 0.50 Base construction CDGA), 500 tons @ $7.50 Shoulder construction CDGA), 500 tons @ $7.50 Manhole adjustment, 20, @ $200.00 TOTAL $196,800.00 500.00 3,000.00 3,750.00 3,750.00 4,000.00 $211,800.00 Said bid being in substantial compliance with the bid specifications and advertisement for bids as was authorized by Municipal Order passed by the Board of Commissioners on May 11, 1982, and as contained in the bid of Jimar Paving Company, Inc., dated May 27, 1982. SECTION 2. That the Mayor be authorized to execute a contract with Jimar Paving Company for the service authorized in Section 1 above, according to the specifications, bid proposal and all contract documents heretofore approved and incorporated in the bid. SECTION 3. The purchase price for said services shall be charged to Federal Revenue Sharing Street Paving and Construction and/or Municipal Aid Program Funds. SECTION 4. This ordinance shall be read on two separate days and will be effective upon publication of title and a certified summary thereof.
