AN ORDINANCE AMENDING SUB -SECTIONS (c) AND (d) OF SECTION 2-28,.
GROUP LIFE. INSURANCE GENERALLY_,_ OF THE CODE OF ORDINANCES -OF THE CITY OF
PADUCAH
BE.IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY OF PADUCAH,_KENTUCKY:
SECTION 1. That Sub -section (a) of Section 2-28, Group Life
Insurance Generally be, and it is hereby, amended to read as. follows:
(c). "The Commonwealth Life. Insurance Company of Louisville,
Kentucky, having proposed a plan of.such group life insurance and by the terms
of which.each member of said group of insurance as herein provided would have
an insurance.benefit on his life in the sum of $10,000.00; additionally, the
named beneficiary.shall.be entitled,to„$100.00 per month for twenty-four (24)
months. The mayor is authorized to execute by signing,. on behalf of the city,
an application or contract for the procurement.of such insurance".
SECTION 2. That sub -.section (d)„ of._.Section 2-28, Group Life
Insurance Generally be, and it is hereby.,_.amended to.read. as follows-:
"Upon retirement of an employee participating in the group life insurance plan
may continue (kis) their coverage in the amount of {twe} four thousand dollars
{$2;999:99} $4,000.00 for which the {employee} retiree shall pay a the monthly
premium of $1.40. The city shall pay any amount in excess of $1.40
contribution by the {Fetired} retiree-empleyee up to an amount not exceeding
50 percent of the total monthly premium (fe-F-the-$2;999.A9-pe1iey). (In -the

the city pay more than fifty (50) percent of any such premium".
SECTION 3. This ordinance shall be read on two separate days and
will be retroactive to April 1, 1982.
