AN ORDINANCE AMENDING SECTION 1 OF AN ORDINANCE ENTITLED,
"AN ORDINANCE APPOINTING A BOARD OF TRUSTEES FOR THE OPERATION OF A
MUNICIPAL COLLEGE IN THE CITY OF PADUCAH, KENTUCKY", WHICH WAS ADOPTED
BY THE BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS ON NOVEMBER 6, 1939, AND LAST AMENDED
BY ORDINANCE NO. 81-7-2119, ADOPTED ON JULY 14, 1981
BE IT ORDAINED . BY THE CITY OF PADUCAH, KENTUCKY:
SECTION 1. That Section 1 of an ordinance containing the title above
quoted, which was adopted by the Board of Commissioners on November 6, 1939,
and last amended on July 14, 1981, be further amended and reordained so that
said section shall hereafter read as follows:
"SECTION 1.
That the appointment of members of the Board of Trustees
of Paducah Junior College shall hereafter be made by the Mayor and Board of
Commissioners by Municipal Order.
Said Board of Trustees shall control the municipal college in the City of
Paducah which has been established pursuant to the provisions of KRS 165.160 to
165.200, and are to have all- the powers given to them pursuant to the provisions
of said statutes".
SECTION 2. This ordinance shall be read . on two separate days and
will be effective upon publication of title and a certified summary thereof.
