HomeMy WebLinkAbout81-12-2181218 ORDINANCE NO. 81-12-2181 AN ORDINANCE AUTHORIZTNG THE'MAYOR TO ENTER INTO_A:CONTRACT WITH JAKE BROWN AND ASSOCIATES AS AUCTIONEER FOR THE PUBLIC AUCTION OF SURPLUS VEHICLES OWNED BY THE CITY OF PADUCAH WHEREAS, the City of Paducah -owns surplus vehicles which.are.no longer of value to the City for governmental.purposes, and - WHEREAS, Kentucky Revised Statutes allows the.City to:dispose-of excess-. property by means of a public auction,-and- WHEREAS, uction, and -WHEREAS, Jake Brown and Associates have.submitt.ed a proposal to the City for auctioning said surplus vehicles. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY OF PADUCAH, KENTUCKY: SECTION 1. That the Mayor be, and he is hereby, authorized to enter into a contract with Jake Brown and Associates to act as auctioneer for the City of Paducah to sell certain surplus vehicles, during the month of December, 1981. SECTION 2.' The City Treasurer is hereby authorized to pay Jake Brown and Associates a fee for their services computed as follows: A. A maximum of $500.00 for advertising, plus B. Ten percent (10%) commission on the price of all vehicles sold.
