ORDINANCE NO. 81-10-2164
AN ORDINANCE AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR TO EXECUTE A CONTRACT
WITH HENDERSON WELDING SERVICE FOR FABRICATION OF EIGHT (8) LEAF
HOPPER BOXES, AT A COST OF $960.00 EACH
WHEREAS, the leaf sweeping machines .of..the City of. Paducah. -are not
functioning properly, . and
WHEREAS; it is necessary to fabricate hopper boxes for the proper; - `
utilization of said equipment, and
WHEREAS, a determination has been made that a single source of supply
for fabricating leaf hopper boxes is Leon Henderson Welding Service.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY OF PADUCAH,
KENTUCKY:
SECTION .1. That the Mayorbe authorized to enter into _ a contract
with Henderson Welding. Service for fabrication ;_of eight (.8) Leaf Hopper Boxes,
at a cost of $960.00 each, said boxes to be used by the Street Department.
SECTION 2. The above service shall be charged to Account No.
001-017-09.
SECTION 3. Due to properly utilizing City equipment and the need
for fabrication of the eight (8) -hopper boxes, an emergency is hereby declared
to exist and this ordinance shall be effective immediately upon passage at one
meeting.
