ORDINANCE NO. 81-10-2154
AN ORDINANCE AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR TO EXECUTE AN AGREEMENT
WITH SANITATION DISTRICT NO. 1 OF McCRACKEN COUNTY, KENTUCKY, TRANS-
FERRING OPERATION, ASSETS, AND LIABILITIES OF SAID SANITATION DISTRICT
TO THE CITY OF PADUCAH, AND REPEALING ORDINANCE NO. 80-9-1987
WHEREAS, by recent annexation, the City of Paducah has annexed a large
portion of the area making up Sanitation District No. I of McCracken County,
Kentucky boundaries and service area, and
WHEREAS, the City of Paducah desires to furnish sanitary sewer service
to customers of Sanitation District No. I of McCracken County, Kentucky, and
WHEREAS, it would be economically unfeasible for Sanitary District No. I
of McCracken County, Kentucky, to exist for the sole purpose of serving the cus-
tomers within its boundaries lying outside the City limits of the City of Paducah.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY OF PADUCAH, KEN-
TUCKY:
SECTION 1. That the Mayor of the City of Paducah be, and he is hereby,
authorized to enter into a contract on behalf of the City with Sanitation District No. 1 of
McCracken County, Kentucky, which contract is attached hereto and incorporated
herein as if set out in full.
SECTION 2. That Ordinance No. 80-9-1987, adopted by the Board of
Commissioners on September 23, 1980 be, and it is hereby, repealed in its entirety.
SECTION 3. This ordinance shall be read on two separate days and
will be effective upon publication in full.
