AN ORDINANCE "ACCEPTING --"THE'-OFFER OF HAROLD H,_ HAMMONS, 250
MOHAWK DRIVE, PADUCAH, KENTUCKY, TO PURCHASE THE INTEREST OF THECITY
IN 920 AND 922 MADISON -'(REFUSE-`DEPARTMENT), FOR- THE SUM OR $9,500-00, ;
AND AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR AND CITY -CLERK TO EXECUTE A WARRANTY
DEED
WHEREAS.` by -Ordinance, No. 81-7-2120, adopted by the Board of Com-
missioners on' July 14, 1981, the Board authorized Jake Brown to auction the.
property located at 920 and 922 Madison Street, and
WHEREAS, said property' was 'auctioned on September 10, 1981.
NOW, THERFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY -THE CITY OF PADUCAH,
KENTUCKY:
SECTION -1. --That: the 'offer .of Harold H. Hammons, in the imount of
$9,500-.00 t6:,purdhasee the interest of 'the City in :the: following described eland

Beginning at a point in the south right-of-way line of Madison
Street 175 feet west of the intersection of the south right-of-way
line of Madison and the west` right-of=way line.of - 9th- Street -
thence in a southerly direction and parallel -to 9th- Street a dis_,
tance of 183.25feet to a-poiht;, thenc:e'in ai- westerly -direction and
parallel to Madison Street a- distance- of 210:25 feet, more- or less:,,

Being the same property conveyed to the City of Paducah --by
H. L. Bradley, Jr. and wife, Irelle, and J. W. Bradley, and
wife, Phylis, as recorded on 1S-eptember -2-5; 1959, in- Deed. Book
409, Page 274,,, in the McCracken County Court Clerk's office.

SECTION 2. Upon the payment of the sum of $9,500.00 to Jake Brown,
the Mayor and City Clerk are hereby authorized and directed to convey to
Harold H. Hamm6ns. by" warranty --deed-, 1, all of, the, -right., title= and interest- of the
City in the property describedinlSeciio'n 1.hereof.
SECTION -3 This -ordinance shall be read -on two -,separate -days and
will be effective ,upori'-'publicatidn-,of title, -and a, -certified summary thereof.
