ORDINANCE NO. 81-7- 2122
AN ORDINANCE APPROVING THE LEASE OF LAND TO THE PADUCAH
RUGBY FOOTBALL ASSOCIATION
WHEREAS, the Paducah Rugby Football Association is preparing a
program of amateur Rugby within the City of Paducah, Kentucky, and
WHEREAS, said Association does not have a field on which to practice
or play Rugby football, and
WHEREAS, the City has extra land adjacent to Brooks Stadium which it
is willing to lease to the Paducah Rugby Football Association.
NOW, -THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY OF PADUCAH,
KENTUCKY: _
SECTION 1. That the
Mayor be authorized to execute; on behalf of the
City of Paducah, a lease to the Paducah Rugby Football Association, a parcel
of land approximatly 300 feet x 360 feet in the rear of and adjacent to Brooks
Stadium.
SECTION 2. That the Corporation Counsel be directed to draft and
approve the lease which shall contain the following terms and conditions:
A. The lease shall be for one (1) year with the Paducah Rugby
Football Association, having four (4) one-year options.
B. Consideration to' the City of Paducah shall be $1.00 per year.
C. Paducah Rugby Football Association shall secure insurance to
protect both the Association and the City from any liability associated with using
said land.
D. Paducah Rugby Football Association will be responsible for main-
taining, cleaning, mowing grass, placing proper receptacles for litter, and
generally keeping the property clean.
SECTION 3. This ordinance shall be read on two separate days and
will be effective upon publication of a summary thereof.
