ORDINANCE NO. 81-6-2116
AN ORDINANCE AUTHORIZING THE LEASE OF CERTAIN CITY
PROPERTY TO PADUCAH MARINE WAYS, INC. AND- DIR.ECTING THE- MAYOR
TO EXECUTE SAID LEASE - -
- WHEREAS; the current lease between the City of Paducah and-- Paducah
Marine Ways, Inc. expired on May 10, 1981, and -
WHEREAS, both parties to the aforesaid lease now desire that a new
lease be entered into..
NOW, _THEREFORE , -BE-IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY OF PADUCAH? -
KENTUCKY :
SECTION. .1.._ That the --City -of Paducah, Kentucky, shall lease to
Paducah Marine Ways,_ Inc. for a period of five (5) years, with an option to
renew for an. additional five (5) years, the following described real property:
Being all that portion of Lots 13, 14, 15, 16, 17 and 18
in Block 3 of "Old Town" that is situated between
Kentucky. Avenue and- Washington Street, the Tennessee
River and a line running parallel with the Floodwall and
situated 25 feet on the river side of same from its- .center
line.
SECTION
2. The consideration for
the aforesaid lease
shall
be the
sum of $175.00 per
month and the said lease
shall contain such
other
terms
and provisions as may be recommended by the Corporation Counsel.
SECTION
'3. The Mayor
of the City
of Paducah,
Kentucky, shall be,
and he is hereby,
authorized and
directed to
execute the
aforesaid lease with
Paducah Marine Ways, Inc..
SECTION- 4. This ordinance.. shall .be .read on two separate. days and
will be effective upon publication of a. certified- -summary thereof.
