HomeMy WebLinkAbout81-6-2113115 ORDINANCE NO. 81-6-2113 AN ORDINANCE AUTHORIZING THE CITY TREASURER TO PAY HARPER & ARTERBURN AND WHITLOW, HOUSTON; ROBERTS & RUSSELL, THEIR ATTORNEY -S -- WHEREAS-,- all parties in Civil Action No. 17,088, -(Harper & Arterburn v City of Paducah, et al) entered into binding arbitration on February 27, 1980, and WHEREAS, said arbitration- hearing was conducted -on December 15, 16, and 17, 1980, and - ,WHEREAS;_. said decision -was rendered by the American, Arbitration Association, and WHEREAS, the portion of said claim to be paid by the City of --Paducah amounted to $23,3-06,.7.. -NOW, 'THEREFORE, BE -IT -ORDAINED BY' THE CITY OF PADUCAH, KENTUCKY SECTION '1. That the City ,Treasurer" be, and .he is %hereby,, authorized to pay. to Harper '& Arterburn and Whitlow, Houston, -Roberts-& Russell, their attorneys, the sum of $23,306.75 as the arbitration award in -:the case styled Harper &."Arterburn vs City -of -Paducah,-et-a1. SECTION 2: The -afor.esaid payment shall be charged'to .Account- No.- - 005-45. SECTION 3. In order to prevent further accumulation of interest being added to this payment, an emergency is hereby declared to exist and this ordinance shall be in full force and effect immediately upon passage at one reading.
