ORDINANCE NO. 2014-8-8170
AN ORDINANCE AMENDING ORDINANCE NO. 2014-5-8136 ENTITLED,
"AN ORDINANCE AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR TO EXECUTE A GRANT AGREEMENT
AND ALL DOCUMENTS RELATING THERETO WITH THE KENTUCKY OFFICE OF
HIGHWAY SAFETY FOR THE "HEADS UP DON'T BE IN'TEXT'I:CATED" MINI -GRANT
PROGRAM"
WHEREAS, the City of Paducah applied for a reimbursement grant through the
Kentucky Office of Highway Safety by Municipal Order No. 1754 on January 28, 2014, for the
"Heads Up Don't Be In'text"icated" Program presented by the Paducah .Police Department; and
WHEREAS, the Kentucky Office of Highway Safety has approved the application
and is now ready to award this grant.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY OF .PADUCAH, KENTUCKY:
SECTION 1. The Mayor is hereby authorized to execute a Grant Agreement, and
all documents relating thereto, with the Kentucky Office of Highway Safety in the amount of
$21,000.00 $24,000.00 for the presentation of the "Heads Up Don't Be In'text'icated" program
presented by the Paducah Police Department. No local cash match is required.
SECTION 2. This expenditure shall be charged to Project Account No. PO0080.
SECTION 3. This ordinance shall be read on two separate days and will become
effective upon summary publication pursuant to KRS Chapter 424.
