HomeMy WebLinkAbout81-6-2107108 ORDINANCE NO'. 81-6-2107 AN ORDINANCE PROVIDING FOR THE CLOSING OF THREE FEET ON THE SOUTH SIDE OF AN ALLEY LOCATED BETWEEN BROADWAY AND KENTUCKY AVENUE AND BETWEEN SOUTH 7TH AND SOUTH 9TH STREETS; SUBJECT TO RETAINING OF AN EASEMENT LOCATED THEREIN. BE IT ORDAINED BY - THE CITY -OF PADUCAH, KENTUCKY: SECTION 1.- -That the City of Paducah does'hereby authorize-theclosing of three feet on the south side of an alley located between Broadway and Kentucky Avenue and between South -7th and South 9th Streets, subject -to retaining of -an easement located therein; said alley more particularly described as follows: Beginning at -the intersection of the west right-of-way line of 7th Street and the south right-of-way line of a 24 foot alley; thence in a westerly direction with the south right-of-way line of said alley a distance of 417 feet more or less to the west end of said alley; thence in a northerly direction a distance of three feet; thence in an easterly direction and parallel with Kentucky Avenue a distance of 417 ' feet more or lessto a point in the west right-of-way line of 7th Street; thence in a southerly direction with the' west right-of-way line of 7th Street a distance of three (3) feet to the point of beginning. Said three (3) foot portion of alley closing to be retained as a utility easement. -SECTION 2. --That the Corporation Counsel of the City of Paducah, Ken- tucky be, and he is hereby, authorized, empowered and directed to institute and prosecute, pursuant to -KRS--82.405, ' an action in' McCracken Circuit 'Court for a judgment ordering the" closing of that portion of the- alley 'described -in Section- 1 above. _ SECTION 3. This ordinance shall be read on two separate- days -and will be effective -upon publication of title and a ' certified summary thereof.
