HomeMy WebLinkAbout81-6-2104105 ORDINANCE NO. 81-6-2104 AN ORDINANCE ACCEPTING THE BID OF SOUTHERN STATES ASPHALT COMPANY, INC. FOR SALE TO THE CITY OF IT'S REQUIREMENT OF ASPHALT FOR THE YEAR 1981, TO BE USED IN STREET CONSTRUCTION AND REPAIR WORK, AND AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR TO EXECUTE A CONTRACT FOR ' SUCH PURCHASE BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY OF PADUCAH, KENTUCKY: SECTION 1. That the City of Paducah accept the bid of Southern States Asphalt Company, Inc., dated May 15, 1981, for sale to the City of it's 1981 requirement of asphalt to be used in street construction and repair work, for the following prices: AAE -200 (approximately 10,000 gal.) $ .8480* $8,480.00 RS -2 (approximately 1,000 gal.) .7600 ** 760.00 Primer L (approximately 1,000 gal.) 1.05 ** 1,050.00 Pug Mill Rental (per gal. of AE -200) (approximately 10,000 gal.) .0400 400.00 * F.O.B. Kuttawa, Kentucky ** If RS -2 or Prime L is delivered to the City of Paducah, a minimum freight charge of $131.60 shall be charged to the City of Paducah. SECTION 2. That the Mayor be, and he is hereby, authorized to execute a contract with Southern States Asphalt Company, Inc . , for the purchase of the items set forth in Section 1 above, according to the specifications, bid proposal and all contract documents heretofore approved and incorporated in the bid. SECTION 3. Thepurchase price for said asphalt shall be charged to Federal Revenue Sharing Street Paving & Construction and/or Municipal Aid Program. Funds. SECTION "4. This ordinance shall be read on two separate days and will be effective upon publication of title and a certified summary thereof.
