ORDINANCE NO. 81-2-2054
AN ORDINANCE ACCEPTING THE PROPOSAL OF WESTERN KENTUCKY
SPRINKLER COMPANY, INC. FOR INSTALLATION OF A SPRINKLER SYSTEM IN
THE BASEMENT OF PADUCAH CITY HALL
WHEREAS, the City of Paducah has entered into a Lease with the
Kentucky Department of Justice, and
WHEREAS, a sprinkler system is a prerequisite of the Kentucky
Department of Justice entering into said lease, and
WHEREAS, Western Kentucky Sprinkler Company is the only available
source of supply in the immediate vicinity.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY OF PADUCAH,
KENTUCKY:
SECTION 1. That the City of Paducah accept the proposal of Western
Kentucky Sprinkler Company, Inc . , for installation of a sprinkler system in the
basement of Paducah City Hall, for the sum of $19,820.00, and as per the
specifications attached hereto and made a part hereof.
SECTION 2. That the Mayor be, and he is hereby, authorized to
execute a contract with Western Kentucky Sprinkler Company, Inc . , for the
sprinkler system authorized in Section 1 above, according to the proposal
attached hereto.
SECTION 3. The purchase price for said sprinkler system shall be
charged to General -Fund Contingency - 9094.
SECTION 4. Due to over crowding at Kentucky State Penitentiary,
an emergency is declared to exist and this ordinance is adopted on one read-
ing.
