ORDINANCE NO. 84-11-2616
AN ORDINANCE ACCEPTING THE QUOTATION OF INTERNATIONAL SALT COMPANY OF 600 TONS
OF ROCK SALT
WHEREAS, the State contract.could not supply our needs and this quotation is
being accepted as a single source procurement -since all salt companies doing business in
this area indicated they were not stockpiling in this area or were stockpiling' only for
barge load or better commitments.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY OF PADUCAH,, KENTUCKY:
SECTION 1. That the City of -Paducah authorize the purchase from International
Salt Company of 600 tons of rock salt at a price of $29.95 per ton, F.O.B. Paducah,
Kentucky.
SECTION 2. That the Mayor be authorized to execute a contract with
International Salt Company for 600 tons of rock salt as authorized in Section 1 above,
and since this is the only source of procurement, -the advertising of bids is hereby
waived.
SECTION 3. The purchase price for said salt shall be charged to Account No.
10-500-330-312.
SECTION 4. The City will bill McCracken County for 300 tons of salt, upon
delivery, at the -price authorized in Section 1 above.
-SECTION 5. This ordinance will be mead on two separate days and will become
effective upon publication and a certified summary thereof.
