AN ORDINANCE, AUTHORIZING AND DIRECTING: THE MAYOR AND CITY CLERK, TO ENTER INTO AN
LEASE WITH MICHAEL A:VEDISIAN :AND ELIZABETH AVEDISIAN;'FOR.THE RIGHT TO CONSTRUCT A CANOPY, OR
OVERHANG, OVER THE SIDEWALK AREA ADJOINING THE COMMERCIAL BUILDING LOCATED.AT 1200 .BROADWAY,
PADUCAH, KENTUCKY
BE IT ORDAINED :BY .THE :CITY OF PADUCAH,.. KENTUCKY:
SECTION_.I:.= That -the%Mayor and City Clerk be authorized and directed to enter into an
Lease with Michael.-Avedisian-,and Elizabeth Avedisian, to -construct a canopy, or overhang, over
the sidewalk area adjoining the commercial building, located at 1200 Broadway, Paducah,
Kentucky, for a term of ninety-nine (99) years.
SECTION 2... Michael Avedisian shall construct said canopy, or overhang, so as not to
endanger the general public in any way, or create a hazard or obstruct the sidewalk as to
interfere with the normal and adequate passageway of the public. All construction shall
provide for the safety, consideration and well being of the general public.
SECTION 3. Michael Avedisian shall hold the City of Paducah free and clear of any
sand, all liability�to the general. public as a result of any injuries or accidents caused to the
person or property by the granting of this Lease. Avedisian shall maintain adequate and
sufficient liability insurance against any loss or damages arising out of this Lease Agreement
and the terms thereof. .. -.'
SECTION 4. The aforesaid Lease is attached hereto and by reference incorporated
herein, and all terms and provisions thereof are approved .
SECTION 5. Due to the' -necessity of completing this project, an emergency is hereby
declared to exist and this ordinance shallbe._effe.ctive.upon'its adoption with one reading.
