HomeMy WebLinkAbout84-7-2543114 ORDINANCE NO. 84-7-2543 AN ORDINANCE AMENDING SECTIONS 10-49, 10-51, AND 10-59, "CIVIL SERVICE" OF THE CODE OF ORDINANCES OF THE CITY OF PADUCAH, KENTUCKY BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY OF PADUCAH, KENTUCKY: SECTION 1.. That .Section 10-49 of the Code of Ordinances of the City of Paducah, Kentucky, be amended and reordained so that said section as amended and reordained shall hereafter read as follows: "Sec. 10-49. Department of finance. This department shall be under the direction .and supervision of the city treasurer - finance director, a noncivil service position which has heretofore been created by separate ordi- nance. That Subsection (b) of Section 10-51 of the Code of Ordinances of the City of Paducah, Kentucky, be amended and reordained so that said section as amended and reordained shall hereafter read as follows: "Sec. 10-51. Engineering Department. 115 (b) Whenever an employee of the engineering department is appointed acting department head by the Board of Commissioners in the absence of a city engineer, they shall receive in addition to their regular compensation ewe-headed-€}€-de}}gee f424A-AA} Two hundred seventy-one dollars ($271.00) per month, until July 1, 1983 1984, and the sum of two-4tun4red-two hundred seventy-nine dollars ($279.00) per month after July 1, 19837 1985. This sum shall not be considered as part of the base pay and will be received only so lohg as the designated person continues as acting department head. SECTION 3. That Section 10-59 of the Code of Ordinances of the City of Paducah, Kentucky, be amended and reordained so that said section as amended and reordained shall hereafter read as follows: "Sec. 10-59. Parks Department. (a) There is hereby authorized and created the following positions in the Parks Department, and the salaries of each position that shall be paid upon satisfactory completion of consecutive years of service, in this position and upon recommendation of the City Manager: Position No. of Positions Director 1 Adm. & Recreation Ass't. 1 Maintenance Foreman 1 Recreation Supervisor 1 Office Manager 1 1 year 2 '1 Handicraft Instructor 1 Building Manager - Civic Base Monthly Salary Effective 7-1-84 Effective 7-1-85 Center 1 1,042.00 1,073.00 Base Hourly Rate Effective 4-1-84 Effective 4-1-85 Equipment Opr.
