HomeMy WebLinkAbout84-6-2530ORDINANCE NO. 84-6-2530 AN ORDINANCE APPROVING THE FINAL REPORT OF THE PADUCAH PLANNING COMMISSION RESPECTING THE REZONING OF PROPERTY LOCATED AT 820, 828 AND 832 SOUTH FIFTH STREET, AND AMENDING THE PADUCAH ZONING ORDINANCE -1976 SO AS TO EFFECT SUCH REZONING BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY OF PADUCAH, KENTUCKY: SECTION 1. That a resolution adopted by the Paducah Planning Commission on May 21, 1984, entitled, "A RESOLUTION CONSTITUTING THE FINAL REPORT OF THE PADUCAH PLANNING COMMISSION ON THE PROPOSED REZONING OF PROPERTY LOCATED AT 820, 828 AND 832 SOUTH 5TH STREET", be approved as the final report of said Commission respecting the matters therein set forth. SECTION 2. That the zone classification change and the map amendment proposed in said resolution be, and the same are hereby, declared to be in agreement with the comprehensive plan of the City of Paducah. SECTION 3. That the zone classification of the following property be, and it is hereby, changed from R-4, High Density Residential Zone to B-3, General Business Zone: Beginning at a point in the center line of South 5th Street and the center line of Jones Street; thence in a northwesterly direction and along the center line of South 5th Street, a distance of 190 feet to a point; thence in a north- easterly direction and from the center line of South 5th Street, a distance of 203.25 feet to a point in the center line of a 25 foot alley; thence in a southwesterly direction and with the center line of a 25 foot alley, a distance of 190 feet to a point in the center line of Jones Street; thence in a south- westerly direction with the center line of Jones Street, a distance of 203.25 feet to a point in the center line of South 5th Street; said point being the point of beginning. SECTION 4. That if any section, paragraph or provision of this ordinance shall be found to be inoperative, ineffective or invalid for any cause, the deficiency or invalidity of such section, paragraph or provision shall not affect any other section, paragraph or provision hereof, it being the purpose and intent of this ordinance to make each and every section, paragraph and provision hereof separable from all other sections, paragraphs, and provisions. SECTION 5. This ordinance shall be read on two separate days and will be effective upon publication of title and a certified summary thereof.
