ORDINANCE NO. 84-6-2525
AN ORDINANCE AMENDING SECTION 25-4, POLICE, ADOPTING QUALIFICATIONS AND
HIRING PROCEDURES FOR PADUCAH POLICE DEPARTMENT RECRUITS
WHEREAS, the Board of Commissioners on the 12th day of June, 1984, received
and filed Qualifications and Hiring Procedures for Paducah Police Recruits, and
WHEREAS, the Board of Commissioners intends to adopt these procedures for
the Police Department of the City of Paducah.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY OF PADUCAH, KENTUCKY:
SECTION 1. That Section 25-4, Police, be amended by creating Section
25-4(b), so that said section shall hereafter read as follows:
(b) "Qualifications and Hiring Procedures for the Paducah Police De-
partment, received and filed by the Board of Commissioners on June 12, 1984, are
hereby adopted by reference as if set out in full herein.
SECTION 2. The above procedures are effective with the effective date of
this ordinance, and any provisions of the Code of Ordinances of the City of Paducah
or of the Manuals of Procedure of the Paducah Police Department in conflict with the
Qualification Procedures or the Hiring Procedures of the Paducah Police Department
adopted herein are hereby repealed.
SECTION 3. The procedures adopted herein may be amended by Municipal Order
of the Board of Commissioners of the City of Paducah.
SECTION 4. This ordinance shall be read on two separate days and will be
effective upon publication of title and a certified summary thereof.
