ORDINANCE NO. 84-6-2518
AN ORDINANCE AMENDING SECTIONS 2-212, AND 27-3 OF THE CODE OF ORDINANCES OF
THE CITY OF PADUCAH, KENTUCKY
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY OF PADUCAH, KENTUCKY:
SECTION 1. That Section 2-212, Supervision and Duties of Director of
Refuse Department, be amended and reordained so that said section shall hereafter
read as follows:
"Sec. 2-212. The position of director of refuse department shall be under
the direction and supervisor of the City Manager Dzrector-of-Street Department. The
personoccupying said position shall be charged with the supervision of all work
connected -with the collection and,disposal of refuse and--�such .othex related work as
may be required by the City Manager H-ireeter-ef-8t*eet Department".
SECTION 2. That Section 27-3, Same - Duties, be amended and reordained so
that said section shall hereafter read as follows:
"Sec. 27-3. The duties of the person occupying the position of director of
the refuse department shall be to carry out all responsibilities assigned to him by
ordinance and by the City Manager, and to handle
complaints by persons using the city's refuse collection 'system and to coordinate the
collection of charges for the use of such system; to handle complaints by persons
using the services rendered by the municipal sanitary landfill and to coordinate the
collection of charges for the use of such landfill; and to perform all supervision
and direction of the department, its equipment and personnel in the operation of the
collection system and the sanitary landfill".
SECTION 3. This ordinance shall be read on two separate days and will be
effective upon publication of title and a certified summary thereof.
