ORDINANCE NO. 84-3-2493
AN ORDINANCE AMENDING SECTION 3 OF ORDINANCE NO. 84-1-2459 ENTITLED, "AN ORDINANCE
ACCEPTING THE BID OF WAHL'S EXCAVATING COMPANY, FOR RENTAL OF VARIOUS EQUIPMENT, AND
AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR TO EXECUTE A CONTRACT FOR SUCH RENTAL"
WHEREAS, Ordinance No. 84-1-2459 was adopted by the Board of Commissioners on January
10, 1984, and
WHEREAS, said ordinance authorized the rental of various equipment to be used by
several departments, and
WHEREAS, the City now finds other departments are in need of said rental equipment.
THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY OF PADUCAH, KENTUCKY:
SECTION 1. That the .City of Paducah accept the bid of Wahl's Excavating Company, for
rental of the following equipment, at the following per hour prices:
Backhoe, $42.50 Dump truck, (Tandem axle), $42.00
Motor Grader, $47.251 Pneumatic Roller, $42.00
said bid being in substantial compliance with the bid specifications and advertisement for bids
as was authorized by Municipal Order passed by the Board of Commissioners on November 22, 1983,
and as contained in the bid of Wahl's Excavating, dated December 20, 1983.
SECTION 2. That the Mayor be authorized to execute a contract with Wahl's Exca-
vating, for rental of the equipment listed above, according to the specifications, bid proposal
and all contract documents heretofore approved and incorporated in the bid.
SECTION 3. The purchase price for said rental equipment shall be charged to Account
Numbers 10-500-320-369, Flood Construction; 20-500-330-354, Street Paving and Construction;
10-500-340-354, Street Paving; 10-500-610-525, Expansion and Development, Parks Department; and
10-500-420-215, Refuse Rental of Equipment; 10-500-150-494, Contingency Fund; 10-500-160-257,
Contract Repair Construction; 10-500-430-525, Expansion & Development; 10-500-440-355, Sanitary
Sewers: 10-500-440-356. Storm Sewers: 20-500-240-274, Trees, Weeds, & Debris; and the Sewer
reciation and Extension Fund.
SECTION 4. This ordinance shall be read on two separate days and will be effective
upon publication of title and a certified summary thereof.
