HomeMy WebLinkAbout85-12-2778ORDINANCE NO. 85-12-2778 AN ORDINANCE AMENDING SECTION 10-73, "CIVIL SERVICE PENSION FUND", OF THE CODE OF ORDINANCES OF THE CITY OF PADUCAH, KENTUCKY SECTION 1. That Section 10-73, "Control and management; membership of board of trustees" of the Code of Ordinances of the City of Paducah, Kentucky, be amended and reordained so that the same as amended and reordained shall hereafter read as follows: "Sec. 10-73. Control and management; membership of board of trustees. (a) The board of trustees of the appointive employees' pension fund shall have exclusive control and management of the pension fund and of all moneys donated or paid for the relief or pensioning of employees. The membership of such board shall consist of the mayor, who shall act as chairman of the board, the city manager, and not less than two (2) employees or retirees who shall be elected by the remaining eligible employees and retirees for a four-year term. (b) In the event of a vacancy in the term of any elective member, the remaining voting members of the board shall, by a majority vote, appoint a successor to serve for the remainder of the term." SECTION 2. This ordinance shall be read on two separate days and will be effective upon publication in full.
