ORDINANCE NO. 85-10-2756
AN ORDINANCE ACCEPTING THE BID OF CENTRAL PAVING COMPANY OF PADUCAH, INC. IN THE
AMOUNT OF $9,000.00, FOR CONSTRUCTION OF SURFACE DRAINAGE SYSTEM FOR PROPOSED SOCCER FIELD IN
THE CITY OF PADUCAH, KENTUCKY, AND AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR TO EXECUTE A CONTRACT FOR SUCH SERVICE
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY OF PADUCAH, KENTUCKY:
SECTION 1. That the City of Paducah accept the bid of Central Paving Company of
Paducah, Inc., in the amount of $9,000.00, for construction of surface drainage system for
proposed soccer field in the City of Paducah, Kentucky.
SECTION 2. The City of Paducah agrees to pay the total amount of $9,000.00 to the
contractor for the above-described construction. This amount is a reduction from the bid
amount of $16,485.00 as allowed by bid specifications for deletions of the contract base bid.
SECTION 3. That the Mayor be authorized to execute a contract with Central Paving
Company of Paducah, Inc., authorized in Section 1 above, according to the specifications, bid
proposal and all contract documents heretofore approved and incorporated in the bid and as
outlined in Section 2 above.
SECTION 4. The aforesaid expenditure shall be charged to Account No. 10-500-150-494.
SECTION 5. Due to the necessity of completing this project before inclement weather,
an emergency is hereby declared to exist and this ordinance will become effective immediately
upon one reading.
