ORDINANCE NO. 85-8-2718
AN ORDINANCE AMENDING SUB -SECTION (a) OF SECTION 25-1, "NUMBER, RANK AND SALARIES
OF MEMBERS OF DEPARTMENT" OF THE CODE OF ORDINANCES OF THE CITY OF PADUCAH, KENTUCKY
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY OF PADUCAH, KENTUCKY:
SECTION 1. That Sub -section (a) of Section 25-1, "Number, rank and salaries of
members of department", of the Code of Ordinances of the City of Paducah, Kentucky, be
amended and reordained so that said section as amended and reordained shall hereafter read as
follows:
"Sec. 25-1. Number, rank and salaries of members of department.
(a) The number and rank of members of the police department of the City of Paducah
and the salary of each position that shall be paid upon satisfactory completion of con-
secutive years of service in the police department:

* Pay rate increase at this level can be made upon certification by the Chief of Police
that a patrolman performs all routine duties in a satisfactory manner, and after approval of
the City Manager.
SECTION 2. In order to implement these changes to be effective August 19, 1985, an
emergency is hereby declared to exist and this ordinance shall become effective immediately
after one reading.
