ORDINANCE NO. 85-6-2694
AN ORDINANCE ACCEPTING THE PROPOSAL OF BORG-WARNER AIR CONDITIONING, INC. IN THE
ANNUAL AMOUNT OF $15,570.00, PLUS ANNUAL ESCALATION, TO MAINTAIN THE HEATING/COOLING SYSTEM IN
PADUCAH CITY HALL, AND AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR TO EXECUTE A MAINTENANCE AGREEMENT FOR SUCH
PURPOSE
WHEREAS, Borg-Warner Air Conditioning, Inc. is the only supplier in this area for
this necessary service; and
WHEREAS, non-competitive negotiations are being implemented and the Mayor is
authorized to accept the proposal of Borg-Warner Air Conditioning, Inc. and enter into a
maintenance agreement for this service.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY OF PADUCAH, KENTUCKY:
SECTION 1. That the City of Paducah accept the proposal of Borg-Warner Air
Conditioning, Inc. in the annual amount of $15,570.00, plus annual escalation, to maintain the
heating/cooling system in the Paducah City Hall, in accordance with the Maintenance Agreement
attached hereto and incorporated herein as if set out in full.
SECTION 2. That the Mayor be authorized to execute a contract with Borg-Warner Air
Conditioning, Inc. as authorized in Section 1 above.
SECTION 3. The amount of this maintenance agreement shall be charged to Account No.
10-500-160-232.
SECTION 4. This ordinance shall be read on two separate days and will be effective
upon publication of title and a certified summary thereof.
