HomeMy WebLinkAbout85-5-2686ORDINANCE NO. 85-5-2686 AN ORDINANCE CREATING SECTION 27-69.5, REFUSE, OF THE CODE OF ORDINANCES OF THE CITY OF PADUCAH, KENTUCKY SECTION 1. Section 27-69.5 is hereby created to read as follows: "Permits for collection, transportation"or disposal on a commercial, contract or agreement basis, shall only be issued for the following businesses and persons: 1. Roll -off container service. A roll -off container service is defined as a service which picks up the container at the premises of the customer and takes the entire container to the landfill and returns the emptied container to the customer's place of business. Permits for this type of service will be issued to any qualified applicant for any location within the city limits. 2. Dumpster service at commercial accounts. A permit for all volume services at commercial accounts (except for roll -off service as defined above) shall be limited to the accounts presently being serviced by collectors permitted on April 1, 1985, or as may be obtained as new businesses in the post -1975 city boundaries. All new accounts under this subsection will be reviewed as of July 1 of each year and a determination made whether or not the city can provide the required services. 3. Residential. Residential service will only be permitted to persons having a valid permit on April 1, 1985, for picking up residential customers. A residential collection permit is not transferable or assignable and can only be used in areas annexed into the area subsequent to January 1, 1975." SECTION 2. This ordinance shall be read on two separate days and will become effective upon publication of title and a certified summary thereof.
