ORDINANCE NO. 85-5-2683
AN ORDINANCE AUTHORIZING THE SALE OF PROPERTY ON LEBANON CHURCH ROAD
TO EARL AND FLORA SCHMITT
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY OF PADUCAH, KENTUCKY:
SECTION 1. That the offer of Earl and Flora Schmitt to purchase from the City of
Paducah the following described tract of land for the sum of $28,000.00 is hereby accepted;
said property being more particularly described as follows:
Beginning at an iron pipe in.the north right of way line'of the Lebanon -Church Rd.,
said point being 16.5 feet north of a point in the center line of the Lebanon Church
Rd., which is 2098.7 feet east of the centerline of US45 (the Mayfield -Paducah Rd.);
thence north 4 degrees 06 minutes west with the Schmitt east property line a distance
of 325.00 feet to an iron pipe;
thence north 87 degrees 41 minutes west with the Schmitt property line a distance of
370.00 feet to an iron pipe;
thence north 2 degrees 56 minutes west with the Schmitt line a distance of 330.00
feet to an iron pipe;
thence north 87 degrees 41 minutes west with the Schmitt line a distance of 115.00
feet to an iron pipe in the E.H. Finley east property line;
thence north 2 degrees 56 minutes west with the Finley east line a distance of 204.20
feet to an iron pipe which is also the Finley northeast corner;
thence south 86 degrees 35 minutes west with the north line of the Finley property a
distance of 222.50 feet to an iron pipe which is also a southeast corner of the Eaton
Estate;
thence -.north 7 degrees 56 minutes west with the Eaton Estate east property line a
distance of 1432.03 feet to an iron pipe, said point being the northwest corner of
the tract herein described;
thence north 85 degrees 30 minutes east along a line common to Tom Ward a distance of
1406.29 feet to a stone, said point being the northeast corner of the tract herein
described;
thence south 3 degrees 42 minutes east with the Benny Durbin and Noble Copeland
property a distance of 2355.79 feet to an iron pipe in the north right of way line of
the Lebanon Church Rd., said point being the southeast corner of the tract herein
described;
thence south 85 degrees 54 minutes west along the north right of way line of the
Lebanon Church Rd. a distance of 599.22 feet to the beginning.
The above described tract contains 62.6 acres more or less.
It is the specific intention of the grantors herein to convey, in fee simple, the
property described above.
SECTION 2. The Corporation Counsel is hereby authorized to prepare a deed for the
above described real estate, and the Mayor is hereby authorized to execute said deed and any
other documents necessary for the sale of said property.
SECTION 3. This ordinance shall be read on two separate days and will be effective
upon publication of title and a certified summary thereof.
