ORDINANCE NO. 85-5-2680
AN ORDINANCE AUTHORIZING CITY TREASURER TO MAKE EXPENDITURES OF REMAINING
FUNDS IN POLICE DEPARTMENT COMMUNICATIONS GRANT NO. 1231-094-173, FOR THE PURCHASE OF
COMMUNICATIONS EQUIPMENT
WHEREAS, the City of Paducah was designated custodian of communications
grant funds in 1974; and
and
WHEREAS, the purposes of said grant were completed in 1975; and
WHEREAS, there presently remains approximately $21,870 in said grant fund;:
WHEREAS, the program has been terminated and it is the desire of the City
to carry out the intent of the grant.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY OF PADUCAH, KENTUCKY:
SECTION 1. That the funds in the amount of $21,870 of Grant Number
1231-094-173 remaining with the City of Paducah shall be transferred to a new account
to be used for the purposes of purchasing communications equipment.
SECTION 2. The City Treasurer is authorized to make expenditures from said
fund for specific purchases meeting the intentions of Grant Number 1231-094-173 upon
approval by the Board of Commissioners.
SECTION 3. This ordinance shall be read on two separate days and will
become effective upon publication of title and a certified summary thereof.
