ORDINANCE NO. 85-4-2675
AN ORDINANCE AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER AND CITY TREASURER TO DONATE
$5,000 TO FOUR RIVERS COUNCIL, BOY SCOUTS OF AMERICA
WHEREAS; the Four Rivers Council, Boy Scouts of America, serves youth in
nine Western Kentucky counties, Massac, Pope and Hardin Counties, Illinois, and South
Fulton, Tennessee; and
WHEREAS, the lease for the camp from TVA expired December 31, 1984; and
WHEREAS, the Council Executive Board has negotiated with"TVA to re -lease
the camp property for an additional 20 years and make facility improvements which
will require $60,000.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY OF PADUCAH, KENTUCKY
SECTION 1. That the City Manager and City Treasurer are authorized to
donate $5,000 to Four Rivers Council, Boy Scouts of America to help fund this
project.
SECTION 2. This expenditure shall be charged to Account Number
10-500-150-494.
SECTION 3. This ordinance shall be read on two separate days and will
become effective upon publication of title and a certified summary thereof.
