HomeMy WebLinkAbout85-4-26731: ORDINANCE NO. 85-4-2673 AN ORDINANCE AUTHORIZING THE PURCHASE OF TWO (2) 5291 DISPLAY STATIONS FROM INTERNATIONAL BUSINESS MACHINES FOR THE AMOUNT OF $1,706 EACH, AND TO PURCHASE SOFTWARE APPLICATIONS AND ACCOMPANYING TRAINING REQUIREMEMTS FROM APPLIED COMPUTER TECHNOLOGY, INC. IN THE AMOUNT OF $4,900, IN ACCORDANCE WITH THEIR PROPOSAL OF MARCH 20, 1985, FOR USE BY THE PADUCAH POLICE DEPARTMENT, AND AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR TO EXECUTE CONTRACTS FOR SUCH PURCHASES WHEREAS, these two firms are the single source suppliers of these products in this area, and competitive bidding has been waived. BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY OF PADUCAH, KENTUCKY: SECTION 1. That the City of Paducah accept the proposal of International Business Machines, in the amount of $1,706 each for two (2) 5291 Display Stations and accept the proposal of Applied Computer Technology, Inc. in the amount of $4,900 for Software Applications and accompanying training requirements, to be used by the Paducah Police Department. SECTION 2. That the Mayor be authorized to execute contracts with International Business Machines for two (2) 5291 Display Stations, and with Applied Computer Technology, Inc. for Software Applications and accompanying training requirements, authorized in Section 1 above, according to the specifications and all contract documents heretofore approved in the proposals. SECTION 3. These purchases shall be charged to the Police Court Award Account. SECTION 4. This ordinance shall be read on two separate days and will be effective upon publication of title and a certified summary thereof.
