ORDINANCE NO. 85-3-2662
AN ORDINANCE ACCEPTING THE BID OF PADUCAH FORD, INC, IN THE AMOUNT OF $46,403.00 FOR
ONE 1985.FORD CT -8000 CAB AND CHASSIS, AND ACCEPTING THE BID OF MANNING EQUIPMENT, INC. IN THE
AMOUNT OF $34,550.00 FOR ONE 33 CUBIC YARD HEIL FRONT LOADER PACKER BODY, FOR SALE TO CITY FOR
USE BY THE REFUSE DEPARTMENT, AND AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR TO EXECUTE A CONTRACT FOR SUCH PURCHASE
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE. CITY OF PADUCAH, KENTUCKY:
SECTION 1. That the City of Paducah accept the bid of Paducah Ford, Inc., in the
amount of $46,403.00 for one 1985 Ford CT -8000 Cab and Chassis, and accept the bid of Manning
Equipment, Inc. in the amount of $34,550.00 for one 33 cubic yard Heil front loader packer body
to be used by the Refuse Department, said bids being in substantial compliance with the bid
specifications and advertisement for bids as was authorized by Municipal Order passed by the
Board of Commissioners on January 8, 1985, and as contained in the bids of Paducah Ford, Inc.,
dated January 29, 1985, and Manning Equipment', Inc., dated January 23, 1985.
SECTION 2. That the Mayor be authorized to execute contracts with Paducah Ford, Inc.
for one 1985 Ford CT -8000 Cab and Chassis, and with Manning Equipment, Inc. for one 33 cubic
yard Heil Front Loader Packer Body, authorized in Section 1 above, according to the
specifications, bid proposal and all contract documents heretofore approved and incorporated in
the bids.
SECTION 3. These purchases shall be charged to Account No. 20-500-420-514.
SECTION 4. This ordinance shall be read on two separate days and will be effective
upon publication of title and a certified summary thereof.
