ORDINANCE NO. 85-1-2640
AN ORDINANCE PROVIDING FOR THE CLOSING OF AN UNDEVELOPED ALLEY LOCATED BETWEEN
BROADWAY AND KENTUCKY AVENUE, WEST OF SOUTH 12TH STREET
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY OF PADUCAH, KENTUCKY:
SECTION 1. That the City of Paducah does hereby authorize the closing of an
undeveloped alley located between Broadway and Kentucky Avenue, west of South 12th Street,
and more particularly described as follows:
Beginning at a point on the north side of the alley, said point being
the rear property line of Travel Lodge Motel and the west property
line of Judy Herzog; thence in an easterly direction along the north
---',side of said alley a distance of 42 feet; thence in a southerly
direction a distance of 8 feet to a point in the alley; thence in an
easterly direction along the north side of the alley a distance of
34.77 feet to a point; thence south a distance of 17 feet; thence west
and along the south line of said alley a distance of 76.77 feet to a
point; thence north a distance of 25 feet to the point of beginning.
SECTION 2. That the Corporation Counsel of the City of Paducah, Kentucky, be,
and he is hereby, authorized, empowered and directed to institute and prosecute, pursuant
to KRS 82.405, an action in the McCracken Circuit Court for a judgment ordering the closing
of the alley described -in Section 1 above.
SECTION 3. This ordinance shall be read on two separate days and will be
effective upon publication of title and a certified summary thereof.
