ORDINANCE NO. 85-1-2638
AN ORDINANCE CREATING THE TEMPORARY POSITION OF ACTING CHIEF OF POLICE OF
THE CITY OF PADUCAH, KENTUCKY
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY OF PADUCAH, KENTUCKY:
SECTION 1. That the Board of Commissioners create the temporary position
of Acting Chief of Police in the Paducah Police Department, at a salary of $2,747.00
per month, said position to be temporary -only and until the appointment of a Chief in
the Paducah Police Department.
SECTION 2. Pursuant to KRS 83A.060 (7) an emergency is declared to exist
and the requirement for reading of this ordinance at two separate meetings is hereby
suspended due to the sudden retirement of the Chief of Police this temporary position
is created to fill the interim period until the appointment of a Chief of Police for
the Paducah Police Department.
SECTION 3. This ordinance shall be in full force and effect and
retroactive to January 6, 1985.
