ORDINANCE NO. 85-1-2630
AN ORDINANCE AMENDING ORDINANCE NO. 84-11-2611 ACCEPTING THE QUOTE OF WHAYNE
SUPPLY COMPANY IN THE. AMOUNT OF $8,310.69, FOR SALE TO"THE CITY OF UNDERCARRIAGE PARTS FOR
977L CATERPILLAR LOADER USED ON THE LANDFILL AND AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR TO EXECUTE A
CONTRACT FOR SUCH PURCHASE
WHEREAS, Whayne Supply Company is the only supplier in the City of Paducah for
Caterpillar parts; and
WHEREAS, non-competitive negotiations are being implemented and the Mayor is
authorized to accept the quotation of Whayne Supply Company and enter into a contract for
the purchase of these required Caterpillar parts.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY OF PADUCAH, KENTUCKY:
SECTION 1. That the City of Paducah accept the quote of Whayne Supply Company
in the amount of $9,810.69, for sale to the City of Caterpillar undercarriage parts and
labor for 977L Caterpillar loader used on the landfill.
SECTION 2. That the Mayor be authorized to execute a contract with Whayne Supply
Company for sale to the City of Caterpillar undercarriage parts authorized in Section 1
above.
SECTION 3. The purchase price for said parts shall be charged to Account No.
10-500-420-322.
SECTION 4. Because of the omission of $1,500.00 for labor from the original
ordinance, an emergency is hereby declared to exist and this ordinance shall become
effective upon passage with one reading.
