HomeMy WebLinkAbout86-11-2942687 ORDINANCE NO. 86-11-2942 AN ORDINANCE AMENDING SECTION 2-22, SICK LEAVE, OF THE CODE OF ORDINANCES OF THE CITY OF PADUCAH, KENTUCKY WHEREAS, it has come to the attention of the Board of Commissioners that a clarification of city policy is needed as to employees accumulating sick leave while receiving workmen's compensation benefits. BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY OF PADUCAH, KENTUCKY: SECTION 1. That Subsection 2-22 (d.l), Sick Leave Generally of the Code of Ordinances of the City of Paducah, Kentucky, is hereby created so that said subsection shall hereafter read as follows: "(d.l) Notwithstanding Section (d) above, an employee who is receiving temporary total benefits under the Kentucky Workmen's Compensation Act from the City, its insurance carrier, or other person on behalf of the City, may elect to assign his temporary total wage benefits to the City, or deliver to the City Treasurer's Office the check he receives for temporary total benefits, and in return receive his regular pay from the City, without any charge being made against his accumulated sick time." SECTION 2. This ordinance shall be read on two separate days and will be effective upon publication in full.
