ORDINANCE NO. 86-9-29$1-
AN ORDINANCE ACCEPTING THE BID OF WAHL'S EXCAVATING TO SUPPLY THE CITY'S REQUIREMENT
OF GRAVEL FOR A PERIOD OF ONE YEAR, WITH, A. ONE-YEAR RENEWAL OPTION, FOR THE SUM OF $1.15 PER
CUBIC YARD AT THE PIT, AND AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR TO EXECUTE A CONTRACT FOR SUCH PURCHASE
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY OF PADUCAH, KENTUCKY:
\/ SECTION 1. That the City of Paducah accept .the bid of Wahl's Excavating for
furnishing the City's requirement of gravel for a period of one year, with a one-year renewal
option, for the sum of $1.15 per cubic yard at the pit, said bid being in substantial com-
pliance with the bid specifications and advertisement -for --bids -as was authorized by the Board
of Commissioners on June 10, 1986, and as contained in the bid of Wahl's Excavating, dated
August 22, 1986.
SECTION 2. That the Mayor be, and he is hereby, authorized to execute a contract
with Wahl's Excavating for purchase of the gravel authorized in Section 1 above, according to
the specifications, bid proposal and all contract documents heretofore approved and
incorporated in the bid.
SECTION 3. The purchase price for said gravel shall be charged to General Fund
Accounts and/or Revenue Sharing Accounts as follows: 20-500-150-494, Contingency Fund;
10-500-160-257, Contract Repair Construction; 10-500-320-369, Flood Construction;
20-500-330-354, Street Paving and Construction; 10-500-420-215, Rental Equipment;
10-500-440-355, Sanitary Sewers; 10-500-440-356, Storm Sewers; 10-500-610-525, Expansion &
Development; 10-500-340-354, Municipal Aid Street Paving; and the Sewer Depreciation and
Extension Account.
SECTION 4. An emergency is declared to exist and this ordinance will become
effective with one reading.
