ORDINANCE NO. 2014-06-8152
AN ORDINANCE AUTHORIZING AND DIRECTING THE MAYOR TO
EXECUTE CHANGE ORDER NO. 1 FOR A REDUCTION IN THE TOTAL CONTRACT
PRICE WITH A & K CONSTRUCTION, INC. FOR CONSTRUCTION OF THE TELETECH
CALL CENTER
WHEREAS, the City approved Ordinance No. 2013-8-8054 to enter into a
contract with A & K Construction, Inc. in the amount of $3,296,000 for construction of the
TeleTech Call Center; and
WHEREAS, Change Order No. 1 is required for changes associated with the
exterior drive and parking areas, therefore, a reduction is necessary in the amount of $41,275.00,
causing the final contract price to be adjusted to $3,254,725.00
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY OF PADUCAH, KENTUCKY:
SECTION 1. The Mayor is hereby authorized to execute Change Order No. 1 for
a decrease in the amount of $41,275.00 with A & K Construction, Inc., for changes associated
with the exterior drive and parking areas, causing the final contract price to be reduced to
$3,254,725.00.
SECTION 2. This ordinance shall be read on two separate days and will become
effective upon summary publication pursuant to KRS Chapter 424.
