ORDINANCE NO. 86-7-2879
AN ORDINANCE AMENDING SECTION 10-63, "CIVIL SERVICE" OF THE CODE OF ORDINANCES OF
THE CITY OF PADUCAH, KENTUCKY
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY OF PADUCAH, KENTUCKY:
SECTION 1. That Section 10-63, Fire Department Switchboard Operator and Clerk -
typist, be amended and reordained so that said section as amended and reordained shall here-
after read as follows:
"Sec. 10-63. Fire Department Switchboard Operator & Clerk -typist.
(a) There is hereby authorized and created the following positions in the Fire
Marshal's office, and the salary of each position that shall be paid upon satisfactory com-
pletion of consecutive years of service, in this position, and upon recommendation of the
City Manager:

(b) The duties of the switchboard operator shall be to operate the switchboard
fire alarm equipment at the central fire station and perform all other necessary services and
functions in connection therewith. The switchboard operator shall be under the supervision
of the Chief of the Fire Department. The switchboard operator shall not thereby become a
member of the Fire Department".
SECTION 2. In order to make these salaries retroactive to July 1, 1986, an emer-
gency is hereby declared to exist and this ordinance shall become effective immediately with
one reading.
