HomeMy WebLinkAbout86-6-2855579 ORDINANCE NO. 86-6-2855 AN ORDINANCE CREATING SECTION 28-14, "STREETS AND SIDEWALKS", OF THE CODE OF ORDINANCES OF THE CITY OF PADUCAH, KENTUCKY WHEREAS, applicants for the closing of streets or alleys require the services of the City Engineers Office and review by the Fire Department, Police Department, Refuse Department and other departments of -the City of Paducah; and WHEREAS, the Board of Commissioners feels that the costs of these reviews should be borne by the applicants; and WHEREAS, the Board of Commissioners feels that an application fee of Five Hundred Dollars ($500.00) is reasonable to reimburse the City for its costs in processing street and alley closings. BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY OF PADUCAH, KENTUCKY: SECTION 1. That Section 28-14, "Streets and Sidewalks", is hereby created to read as follows: "Sec. 28-14. Application for street or alley closing. An applicant filing for the closing of any portion of a street or alley shall file an application with the Zoning Administrator. The application shall be accompanied by a professional property_ survey of the street or alley requested to be closed and an application fee of Five Hundred Dollars ($500.00). Said application must be signed by all real property owners whose land adjoins any part of the right-of-way within the block of any section of right-of-way that is proposed to be closed." SECTION 2. This ordinance shall be read on two separate days and will become effective upon publication in full.
