ORDINANCE NO. 86-5-2840
AN ORDINANCE AUTHORIZING THE PURCHASE OF ONE TS18 SCRAPER, SERIES 33TOT IN
THE AMOUNT OF $70,000.00 FROM BENNY CRAWFORD, FOR USE BY THE REFUSE DEPARTMENT, AND
AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR TO EXECUTE A CONTRACT FOR SUCH PURCHASE
WHEREAS, Benny Crawford is the only source in this area with this equipment
available; and
WHEREAS, non-competitive negotiations are being implemented and the Mayor is
authorized to enter into a contract with Benny Crawford for the purchase of one TS18
Scraper, Series 33TOT.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY OF PADUCAH, KENTUCKY;
SECTION 1. That the City of Paducah purchase from Benny Crawford one TS18
Scraper, Series 33TOT, in the amount of $70,000.00, for use by the Refuse Department.
SECTION 2. That the Mayor be authorized to execute a contract with Benny
Crawford for sale to the City of one TS18 Scraper authorized in Section 1 above.
SECTION 3. The purchase price for said scraper shall be charged to Account
No. 20-500-420-514.
SECTION 4. An emergency is hereby declared to exist in order to purchase
this equipment while it is available, and this ordinance will become effective with
one reading.
